Center Introduction
Digital Media Research Center - School of Communication and Design, located on the East Campus of Sun Yat-sen University, was established in 2005.

Several research methods are involved here. They are Human-computer interaction, Human-machine interface design, 3D GUI interface design and Usability test.

We have chaired the National Natural Science Foundation (Microsoft Research Asia Joint-funded projects); the National Natural Science Foundation (South Korea Cooperation Fund); an international cooperation project "Survey of User Behavior during Mobile Payment Service in China, Korea and Japan", (joint units School of Design, Korean National University of Technology) and other projects at home and abroad.

Our research team contains two doctors, eight graduate students and three research fellows. In Digital Media Research Center, the main research directions are Interactive Design, Digital Media Art, and User Behavior Analysis. We have published 13 academic papers and visited several famous universities in recent years. In 2003, after published as the first author of paper in the annual British Literati Club, we received

    中山大学传播与设计学院数字媒体研究中心成立于2005年，位于中山大学东校区。主要从事人机交互方法研究，人机界面设计，3D GUI界面设计，可用性测试等方法研究。曾主持了国家自然科学基金（微软亚洲研究院联合资助项目）；国家自然科学基金（中韩合作基金）；国际合作项目“Survey of User Behavior during Mobile Payment Service in China, Korea and Japan”,（联合单位韩国国民大学技术设计学院）等国内外项目。研究团队中，拥有博士2位，硕士研究生8位，研究员3位。
     中山大学传播与设计学院数字媒体研究中心主要研究方向为交互设计、数字媒体艺术、用户行为分析。研究团队主要研究人员，近年来发表学术论文13篇，受SCI/EI/ISTP检索9篇。申请发明专利5项，获得软件著作权2项。并在韩国国民大学设计学院、英国Bradford大学、香港理工大学多处进行了为期2年多的“基于用户行为分析的交互设计、计算机动画技术” 等内容的访问和学习。2003年作为第一作者，发表的论文获得英国Literati Club年度杰出论文奖（Awards for “the most Outstanding Paper”）。
     中山大学传播与设计学院数字媒体研究中心协助中山大学已建成“交互产品与内容服务可用性测试实验室”，主要覆盖数字终端交互界面等软件界面的可用性测试。该实验室联合中山大学数字家庭教育部重点实验室，同时中山大学传播与设计学院数字媒体研究中心也已经协助中山大学东校区实验中心成立了中大—苹果联合实验室。
